The first part of the project will be a Food Drive at GRIN from 11:00 to 1:30pm. The Food Drive will include setup and teardown, people to greet cars, take donations, check expiration dates, and wave signs.

The second part of the project will be a Dedication Ceremony for a flag retirement box at 82 Mill St (Town St Side, facing Signatures) starting at 3pm. Setup for the Dedication Ceremony will start after the food drive teardown is complete. The Dedication Ceremony will include setup and teardown, Color Guard, a Scout to recite/lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and 1-3 Scouts to light candles during the ceremony.

-Troop Activity: Big Walnut Kayak Trip
If you have a Kayak that the Troop can borrow for this event please send us an email.

Reminders
-Troop Campout: Backpacking at Wildcat Hollow
If you did not get to sign up for the Backpacking Trip at the 5/15 Troop meeting please email the Troop to let us know you want to attend before 7pm on 5/17.
Based on the number of participants there will be a single trek that will be 13 miles long.
Each day of the trip will cover only 4-5 miles. As preparation for the backpacking trips Scout should make sure they are drinking plenty of water and finding time for some extra physical activity. There will be a single menu for everyone going on the trek. Meals will be backpacking style. Troop tents will be available for the trip, but more lightweight camping options are encouraged. Everyone should make sure they have enough water bottles to carry 4 liters of water on the trip.

We will meet at Stonybrook on Friday at 6pm and will leave the parking lot by 7pm. We expect to return to Stonybrook on Sunday around 1pm. The group will go shopping at Kroger Marketplace on 5/17 at 7pm. The budget for meals on this campout is $8 per person.

-Troop Dues
It is a new year, and we have a new scribe. So, make sure you start 2023 off strong by making your monthly dues payment. Wreath, ornament, and coffee sales are the biggest way we pay for camping fee, registration, and equipment and paying $5 in dues in each month covers the rest of the Troop costs. So, remember to turn in your dues to the scribe each month, and make sure your payment is entered into our receipt book and that you get a copy.
